- 1 teaspoon vinegar (optional, for tang)
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken Wings
- Prep the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps them crisp up on the grill.
- Season the Wings: In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Drizzle with lemon juice for an extra layer of flavor. Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F). If you’re using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are hot and evenly spread out for indirect heat.
Grill the Wings
- Grill the Wings: Place the wings on the grill over indirect heat (not directly over the flames). Close the lid and cook for about 20-25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through.
- Check for Crispness: After 20 minutes, check the wings for crispness. The skin should be golden brown and crispy. If they need more time, grill for an additional 5-10 minutes, flipping occasionally.
- Optional – Apply Sauce: In the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush your favorite sauce onto the wings if you want to make them BBQ or buffalo style. Let the sauce caramelize and become slightly sticky.
Serve and Enjoy
- Garnish and Serve: Once the wings are done, remove them from the grill and place them on a platter. Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro, if desired. Serve with extra dipping sauce on the side and enjoy!
