Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Add the Mix-Ins
- Fold in Goodies: Gently fold in chocolate candies, pretzels, chocolate chips, and nuts (if using).
- Shape Cookies: Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon-sized balls and place on prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
Bake and Finish
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
- Add a Sprinkle of Magic: While cookies are warm, sprinkle with sea salt flakes.
- Cool: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
