  • 1 apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water or vegetable broth

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)

Instructions

Prep the Ingredients

  1. Slice the Cabbage: Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and slice it thinly. This will help it cook evenly and absorb all the flavors.
  2. Slice the Onion and Apple: Thinly slice the onion and apple, and set them aside with the cabbage.

Add to the Slow Cooker
