- 24 candy eyes (or chocolate chips)
- 1/4 cup of chocolate frosting (for securing the decorations)
Instructions
Prepare the Donuts
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your donut pan by lightly greasing it.
- Mix the Batter: In a large bowl, follow the instructions on your donut mix box or mix the ingredients for your homemade batter (eggs, milk, oil, and dry ingredients).
- Fill the Pan: Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each mold about two-thirds full.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Remove from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decorate the Donuts
- Prepare the Frosting: Warm the chocolate frosting in the microwave for a few seconds to make it spreadable, or use a store-bought chocolate icing.
- Apply the Frosting: Frost the tops of each cooled donut with a generous layer of chocolate frosting.
- Attach the Antlers: Break the pretzels into halves and place two pieces on each donut to create the antlers.
- Add the Eyes and Nose: Place two candy eyes on each donut and one red candy in the center for the nose.
- Let Set: Allow the frosting to set for a few minutes so everything stays in place.
- Prep Time: 10 min.
