For the Casserole:

  • 1 package frozen cheese ravioli (about 2530 pieces)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Toppings:

  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes for a little heat
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

Assemble the Casserole

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer the Ravioli: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Place half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  3. Add Cheese: Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the ravioli, then sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan. Season with a pinch of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of marinara sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasonings.
  5. Top with Sauce: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the casserole and finish with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.

Bake the Casserole

  1. Cover and Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  2. Uncover and Continue Baking: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
