For the Casserole:
- 1 package frozen cheese ravioli (about 25–30 pieces)
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Toppings:
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Red pepper flakes for a little heat
- Extra Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
Assemble the Casserole
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer the Ravioli: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Place half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
- Add Cheese: Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the ravioli, then sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan. Season with a pinch of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of marinara sauce, followed by the remaining ravioli, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasonings.
- Top with Sauce: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top of the casserole and finish with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.
Bake the Casserole
- Cover and Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and Continue Baking: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Prep Time: 15 min.
- Cook Time: 30 min.
