Instructions
Prepare the Mushrooms
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Clean the Mushrooms: Wipe the Portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and scoop out the gills with a spoon to create space for the toppings.
- Season the Caps: Place the mushrooms gill-side up on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
Assemble the Pizzas
- Add Sauce: Spoon marinara sauce evenly into each mushroom cap, covering the bottom.
- Layer Toppings: Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced bell peppers, and olives if using.
Bake
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Garnish and Serve
- Garnish: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil if desired.
