Pear & Brie Cheese Salad Skewers

  • Author: Christine
  • Total Time: 20 min.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large pear (firm yet ripe, such as Bosc or Anjou), thinly sliced
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 12 small basil leaves (or arugula for a peppery kick)
  • 12 small cherry tomatoes
  • 12 skewers (wooden or metal)

For the Honey-Balsamic Glaze:

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

  1. Slice the Pear: Wash and thinly slice the pear, leaving the skin on for added texture and color.
  2. Cut the Cheese: Dice the Brie into bite-sized cubes. Keep the pieces uniform for easier assembly.
  3. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

Assemble the Skewers

  1. Layer Ingredients: Start by threading a cherry tomato onto a skewer, followed by a basil leaf, a cube of Brie, and a slice of pear folded in half. Repeat this pattern if your skewer allows.
  2. Repeat for All Skewers: Assemble the remaining skewers using the same order of ingredients.

Drizzle with Glaze

  1. Drizzle: Lay the skewers on a serving platter and drizzle the honey-balsamic glaze over them just before serving.
  2. Serve Immediately: For the freshest taste, serve the skewers soon after preparing them.
