Instructions
Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
- Boil the Sweet Potatoes: Place the cubed sweet potatoes in a large pot and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.
- Drain: Once cooked, drain the sweet potatoes in a colander.
Mash the Sweet Potatoes
- Mash: Return the drained sweet potatoes to the pot or a mixing bowl. Add the unsalted butter and milk.
- Mix: Use a potato masher, fork, or electric mixer to mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust the milk quantity for desired consistency.
- Season: Stir in salt and pepper to taste, mixing well.
