Hot Chocolate Fudge

  • Author: Christine
  • Total Time: 40 min.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: crushed peppermint, chocolate syrup, or whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Fudge

  1. Line the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and salt. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and melted.
  3. Add the Extras: Stir in the vanilla extract and 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows until evenly distributed.

Assemble and Chill

  1. Pour into Pan: Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  2. Decorate: Sprinkle additional mini marshmallows on top, pressing them gently into the fudge. For extra flair, add crushed peppermint or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
  3. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.

Cut and Serve

  1. Slice: Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into squares using a sharp knife.
  2. Serve: Arrange on a platter or serve individually with whipped cream or hot chocolate on the side.
