Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Mix the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. This step is important as it creates the soft texture of the cookies.
  3. Add the Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. You may need to use your hands towards the end to bring the dough together.
  4. Add Vanilla: Stir in the vanilla extract for a hint of warmth and depth of flavor.

Shape the Cookies
