  • 1/4 cup grated cheese (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, grated cheese, egg, onion, carrot, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form Patties: With clean hands, shape the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.

Cook the Patties

  1. Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat a generous amount of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Fry Patties: Once the oil is hot, add the patties in batches, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  3. Drain: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
