For the Salad:

  • 1 package (6 oz) raspberry Jell-O
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
  • 1 can (14 oz) whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Jell-O Mixture

  1. Dissolve Jell-O: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the raspberry Jell-O in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  2. Add Juices: Add the reserved pineapple juice and orange juice to the Jell-O mixture, stirring to combine.

Add the Fruit and Nuts

  1. Incorporate Cranberry Sauce: Stir in the whole-berry cranberry sauce, breaking it up slightly with a fork for even distribution.
  2. Mix in Pineapple and Walnuts: Fold in the crushed pineapple and walnuts, if using, until everything is well combined.

Chill the Salad

  1. Pour into Serving Dish: Pour the mixture into a decorative bowl or mold.
  2. Refrigerate: Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 hours, or until fully set.
