Instructions
Make the Cookie Mixture
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder. Stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil: Once the mixture reaches a boil, allow it to boil for exactly 1 minute (use a timer for precision!).
- Remove from Heat: Take the saucepan off the heat and quickly stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until the peanut butter is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
Add the Oats
- Mix in Oats: Stir in the oats, making sure they are evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.
Form the Cookies
- Scoop the Cookies: Drop spoonfuls of the cookie mixture onto a wax paper or parchment-lined baking sheet. You can use a spoon or a cookie scoop for more uniform shapes.
- Let Them Set: Allow the cookies to cool and set at room temperature for about 10 minutes or until firm.
