Ingredients
Scale
For the Latte:
- 1 chamomile tea bag (or 1 tablespoon loose-leaf chamomile)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or more for extra spice)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 teaspoon honey, maple syrup, or sugar (optional, to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
For Garnish (Optional but Recommended):
- A sprinkle of cinnamon on top
- Chamomile flowers (for a decorative touch)
Instructions
Step 1: Steep the Chamomile Tea
- Boil a small amount of water (about 1/4 cup). Once it’s hot, pour it over the chamomile tea bag (or loose-leaf chamomile in a tea infuser) and steep for 5 minutes.
- Once the tea is steeped, remove the tea bag or infuser and set the chamomile tea aside.
Step 2: Warm the Milk
- In a small saucepan, add the milk and cinnamon. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally. Let it warm up but don’t let it boil—aim for a gentle simmer.
- Once the milk is warm and the cinnamon has dissolved, add in the sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar) and vanilla extract if using. Stir until everything is well combined and the milk is frothy.
Step 3: Combine and Serve
- Pour the warm chamomile tea into a mug, followed by the warm cinnamon milk mixture.
- Stir gently to combine, and taste to see if it needs more sweetener or cinnamon. Add a bit more if desired.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle a little cinnamon on top or even add a few chamomile flowers for a decorative, relaxing touch.
