Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until well blended.
  3. Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the butter pieces resemble small peas.
  4. Add Milk: Slowly pour in the milk, stirring gently until the dough comes together. Be careful not to overmix.

Shape and Bake
