Ingredients
Scale
To make Air Fryer Broccoli, you’ll need these simple ingredients:
- 1 large head of broccoli (about 4 cups of florets)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Grated parmesan cheese (for a cheesy finish)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes (for a spicy kick)
Instructions
Prepare the Broccoli
- Cut the Broccoli: Start by washing the broccoli thoroughly. Cut the head into small, bite-sized florets. Make sure they’re roughly the same size so they cook evenly.
- Season the Broccoli: Place the broccoli florets in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the broccoli well until it’s evenly coated with the seasonings and oil.
Cook in the Air Fryer
- Preheat the Air Fryer: If your air fryer requires preheating, set it to 375°F (190°C). This will only take a couple of minutes.
- Air Fry the Broccoli: Place the seasoned broccoli florets in the air fryer basket. Make sure they’re spread out evenly for the best crisping. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Check for Doneness: The broccoli should be crispy on the edges but tender inside. If you like it a little crispier, leave it in for an extra minute or two.
Optional Finishing Touches
- Add Parmesan: Once the broccoli is cooked, you can sprinkle some grated parmesan cheese over the top for a cheesy, savory finish. The heat from the broccoli will help melt the cheese.
- Spice It Up: If you like a little heat, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top for an added kick.
